AccuLevels turns a smartphone into a precision measurement tool — using the device's built-in accelerometer and gyroscope to deliver real-time leveling, angle measurement, and inclination readings for professionals and DIY users.
Vasilkoff built the full cross-platform app, handling sensor integration, UI design, and App Store / Google Play submission.
What We Built
Cross-Platform App (iOS & Android)
Built with React Native for simultaneous iOS and Android delivery from a single codebase — without compromising on sensor accuracy or UI performance. The app runs smoothly on a wide range of devices and OS versions.
Native Sensor Integration
AccuLevels relies on precise readings from the device accelerometer and gyroscope. We implemented native sensor access through React Native's sensor APIs, with calibration logic to account for device-specific variance and deliver consistent, reliable measurements regardless of hardware.
Real-Time Measurement Display
A clean, readable interface showing live level and angle data — updating in real time as the device moves. The display is designed for practical use: large, high-contrast readings that are easy to interpret on a job site or workshop, not just in a demo environment.
Precision Tools
Multiple measurement modes including:
- Spirit level — horizontal and vertical
- Angle measurement — precise degree readings
- Inclination / slope — for ramps, roofs, and graded surfaces
- Surface level check — multi-axis simultaneous reading
Calibration System
A user-accessible calibration flow that allows the app to be zeroed against a known reference — important for professional use where factory sensor defaults may not be sufficiently precise for the task.
App Store & Google Play Submission
Full submission handling — app metadata, screenshots, privacy policy, content rating, and review compliance for both platforms.
